Megan Moore, RDN, CSOWM, CLT, CD
Hi! I'm Megan, a Seattle-based Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, real food lover, health coach, enthusiastic home cook, photographer in training, and founder of Savored Nutrition- a healthy lifestyle company on a mission to educate and inspire others to live their happiest, healthiest, most Savored life.
My coaching philosophy is simple- it should be customized to you! I believe in an individualized approach that takes into account your entire lifestyle and preferences...not some cookie-cutter diet plan. Through encouragement, education, and guided practice, I believe that anyone can achieve their nutritional goals while still enjoying the foods and flavors they love most. My philosophy centers around wisely fueling the body and fostering a more wholesome relationship with food.
I never expected to become a dietitian, but looking back I can see that it was meant to be! I began college with the plan of becoming a geneticist. During one of my genetics classes I was introduced to the idea that the food we eat could affect our genes (aka- nutrigenomics). Learning about this concept, and having the realization that I loved reading cookbooks and nutrition articles, I knew I needed to explore a new path. One degree, a nine month dietetic internship, one national exam, and hundreds of patients later...here I am! I have worked with individuals young and old, from various social and economic backgrounds, with various medical concerns, but who share one goal... to feel better while living the healthiest life possible.
Aside from running Savored Nutrition, I also work with Washington’s leading bariatric, endocrine, and metabolic center at Swedish Medical Center in downtown Seattle. Additionally, I am one of three dietitians in Washington State with the title of Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management and I am a Certified Leap Therapist. In the spring of 2017 I had the honor of being invited to speak at the Obesity Medicine Association's National Spring Conference and have also been interviewed by various media sources.
I currently reside in Seattle, Washington where was born and raised. I absolutely love this city and everything that it has to offer. (Planning to visit? I'll be happy to give you a million recommendations!) In my free time you can find me practicing cooking skills, playing lawn games at the park, enjoying a meal next to one of the many bodies of water in the region, sampling bites or sips at the newest restaurant or winery, or just catching up on my favorite TV show at home.
